Comparison of YGM Reflective Sheeting Models
This article introduces the upgrades of YGM’s newly developed H series reflective sheeting compared with conventional reflective sheeting. Taking 3100 and 3100-H as well as 3200 and 3200-H as examples, we will give you a detailed introduction.
YGM 3100 vs. YGM 3100-H (Both PET Type)
Both models are made of PET and are suitable for application temperatures of 5℃-30℃. The normal service life is 3 years, and the specification is 1m*50m/1.24m*45.7m. They are mainly used for advertising signs, promotional signs and temporary building signs. Not easy to tear, easy to operate and easy to portray and easy to computer graphics are the characteristics of 3100 and 3100-H. The key difference is their reflection and thickness:
| Feature | YGM 3100 | YGM 3100-H |
| Maximum Reflection Coefficient | 10 CPL | 40CPL |
| Overall Thickness (excluding paper) | 80-90μm | 130μm |
The 3100-H offers significantly higher reflectivity and is thicker. Choose the 3100-H if higher visibility is crucial, especially in low-light conditions. The 3100 might be suitable for applications where high reflectivity is less critical.
YGM 3200 vs. YGM 3200-H (Both Acrylic Type)
Similar to the 3100 series, both 3200 and 3200-H are made of acrylic materials, with a working temperature between 18℃ and 28℃, a normal service life of 3 years, and a specification of 1.24m*45.7m/1.22m*45.7m/0.61m*45.7m. The products of this model are mainly used in billboards, publicity boards, and temporary construction standards. It has the characteristics of tear and silk screening, ductility and easy computer carving. The main differences between them are reflectivity and thickness:
| Feature | YGM 3200 | YGM 3200-H |
| Maximum Reflection Coefficient | 20 CPL | 40CPL |
| Overall Thickness (excluding paper) | 110μm | 120μm |
Again, the 3200-H provides much higher reflectivity compared to the 3200. The thickness difference is less pronounced than in the 3100 series. Choose the 3200-H for increased visibility. The 3200 might be a more cost-effective option if high reflectivity is not a primary requirement.
This year, the YGM reflective sheeting series has been upgraded to varying degrees. The “H” version has a greatly improved general reflectivity and thickness, which is very suitable for applications that require enhanced visibility. When choosing between the standard model and the “-H” model, please consider the specific reflectivity and thickness requirements of the project. Please note that the operating temperature range of the 3100 series (PET) is wider than that of the 3200 series (acrylic).
